Hello and welcome
I have always had a keen interest in wildlife and the great outdoors;
I was an Angler for over 30 years but gave it up a few years ago to
concentrate on photographing wildlife. I lived in Runcorn; Cheshire a
short distance from the M56 that gave me great access to the Wirral,
Northwales and Lancashire, with some great countryside on my doorstep
I didn't have to travel too far in search of wildlife and photographic
opportunities.
Some of my wildlife photographs range from as far afield as Cuba,
Antigua, Saint Martin, Saint Lucia, Dominican Republic, Tuscany ,
Corfu, Turkey, Spain, Portugal.
I now live in the Charente area of western France.

Being a wildlife photographer in the Charente can be difficult at times but the rewards can be very good if you can find places to go that it.

My morning walks with my dog (Molly the Collie) usually produce something to photograph mammals, birds or insects.

It all depends on the camera setup I take with me. Canon 100-400mm lens and 5dmk 4 or with a 7dmk2. My macro setup is a Canon 100mm 2.8 lens on a Canon m6mk2.

The Western Green Lizards seem to like the area I have created for them, they can be seen most days when the sun comes out and are very approachable.
My Hoopoe photographs are very disappointing this year
