Hello and welcome
I have always had a keen interest in wildlife and the great outdoors;
I was an Angler for over 30 years but gave it up a few years ago to
concentrate on photographing wildlife. I lived in Runcorn; Cheshire a
short distance from the M56 that gave me great access to the Wirral,
Northwales and Lancashire, with some great countryside on my doorstep
I didn't have to travel too far in search of wildlife and photographic
opportunities.
Some of my wildlife photographs range from as far afield as Cuba,
Antigua, Saint Martin, Saint Lucia, Dominican Republic, Tuscany ,
Corfu, Turkey, Spain, Portugal.
I now live in the Charente area of western France.
I had a quick check to see if the Fire Salamanders in the cellar are ok, I only found two
but I didn't bother to look for the other one.

One of the other regular birds that are photographed is the Firecrest, with plenty of them about, you hear them before you see them as they search for insects.

Not in the best of light and you have to be quick to get a photograph them.

Back from France after a wet week, I still managed to cut the Grass and trim the hedges and even prepared and seed my wildflower bed.
The Little Owls are around I could hear it calling most days but I was unable to locate it.

After setting up the garden feeders I turned my attention to the resident Black Redstarts,

Back from Rome last week and only just managed to look at some of the snaps taken.
We used a small compact camera and unfortunately the photographs they produced are not good.
