The Hawfinches of Sizergh Castle
With the weather forecast predicted to be wall to wall sunshine I decided to take a trip to photograph the Hawfinches at Sizergh Castle.
I gave Dave Cookson a ring to see if he wanted to come along. Up at 3.30am and met Dave at Standish roundabout at 530am.
We arrived at 7.0am parked the car and waited for the action. We didn’t have to wait long for them to show, although the light was difficult at first so we did our best. As other photographers arrived the light improved. We left at 9.30 as did the birds, they would return later. We had other plans.
