Mouse trap
Over the past few weeks I have had a Mouse in the garden it’s nothing unusual as I do get them from time to time, they don’t survive long as one or two cats that visit the garden after birds usually catch them. This one lives under the header pool for the pond; I have tried to photograph it as it runs over a log that straddles the pond but it’s too fast.
The pump for the waterfall is never switch on because the Pond has Newts in it, so it makes the header pool a perfect home for the Mouse.
As I have to stay in for a delivery I thought I would set up a camera trap and see if I can at last photograph it. I placed some bird seed near the header pool and retreated back to the house and waited for the Mouse to appear.

It didn’t have to wait long before the Mouse came out to investigate, as I watched the Mouse come into frame the Flashed didn’t fire, not a good start. After resetting the trigger and placing some more bait there I retreated into the house again. This time it worked fine, the Mouse didn’t seem to be put off by the flash guns, not bad for the first attempt.
