Hello and welcome
I have always had a keen interest in wildlife and the great outdoors;
I was an Angler for over 30 years but gave it up a few years ago to
concentrate on photographing wildlife. I lived in Runcorn; Cheshire a
short distance from the M56 that gave me great access to the Wirral,
Northwales and Lancashire, with some great countryside on my doorstep
I didn't have to travel too far in search of wildlife and photographic
opportunities.
Some of my wildlife photographs range from as far afield as Cuba,
Antigua, Saint Martin, Saint Lucia, Dominican Republic, Tuscany ,
Corfu, Turkey, Spain, Portugal.
I now live in the Charente area of western France.
I found this Wasp in my moth trap this morning.

I am still in the process of identifying them, so I thought I would upload some Dragonflies

It’s a good time to get your macro lens out and photograph garden spiders.

The Kingfisher dived into the water and emerged with a caddis larvae case and behaved in much
the same way as it would with a fish.

It started hitting the case against the branch to extract the larvae

Just missed it.
My web site was down for most of the weekend due to an upgrade and it’s still not right.
I am not the only one who has had problems with it.

My kingfisher shots have had to wait to be uploaded.

With some tweaks it should be ok from now on.

It’s amazing the difference light makes to the colouration in the Kingfisher feathers.

The feathers reflect the light, light blue and lots of detail provide the best photographs.

Dark blue and lack the detail in low light are not so good.

More in the folder
Kingfisher coughing up a pellet, got the shot this time.

If you can find them Kingfisher can be easy to photograph.

They will always investigate a new fishing branch if placed in the correct position.
